ASMAC presents a workshop of film music main titles by George S. Clinton

On Saturday, November 28, 2008, ASMAC presented a Master Class by film composer George S. Clinton. This took place at the Los Angeles Valley College music department band room. Hosted and organized by ASMAC Board member David Blumberg, the Master Class focused on some unusual main title cues and themes by veteran film composer George S. Clinton. Several pieces were played and coordinated with projection screen scores. The interested (and plentiful) audience was treated to some delightful and individual pieces of music, after which was an opportunity for asking questions.

All in attendence were given a CD containing the pieces played along with the scores.

George is most famous for the Austin Powers series, The Love Guru, Red Shoe Diaries, Mortal Kombat, Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee, The Big Bounce, Wild Things, The Santa Clause 2 and 3, Cheech and Chong films, and many others.
