Walter Murphy is the composer of the theme song and underscore to the FOX animated series’, “Family Guy”, “American Dad”, and the “The Cleveland Show”. This year he’s written the score to the feature film, “Ted.”

He has provided the scores to numerous other TV series including “Buffy, The Vampire Slayer”, “Profit” and “The Commish” as well as “Looney Tunes ” feature cartoons.

His recording of “A Fifth Of Beethoven” reached the number one spot and was featured in the film, “Saturday Night Fever” and on the Grammy-winning soundtrack album.

The song, “You’ve Got A Lot To See”, composed for the Family Guy episode, “Brian Wallows And Peter’s Swallows”, won the award for Outstanding Music and Lyrics at the 2002 Emmy Awards.

“My Drunken Irish Dad”, from the Family Guy episode, “Peter’s Two Dads”, was a nominee for Outstanding Music and Lyrics at the 2007 Emmys and “Down’s Syndrome Girl”, from the Family Guy episode, “Extra Large Medium”, was nominated for Outstanding Music and Lyrics in 2010.
