ASMAC and Gayle Levant, Event Chair, are excited to announce that the award-winning composer Michael Giacchino, will host the 2017 Golden Score Awards. The event, honoring the highly-acclaimed composer/songwriters, Charles Fox and Paul Williams, will take place December 3rd at the Universal Hilton Hotel beginning at 5 pm. Michael Giacchino has credits that feature some of the most popular and acclaimed film projects in recent history, including Inside Out, Jurassic World, The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and War for the Planet of the Apes. Giacchino’s 2009 score for the Pixar film Up earned him an Oscar®, a Golden Globe®, the BAFTA, the Broadcast Film Critics’ Choice Award and two GRAMMY® Awards. His most recent score for the Pixar film, Coco, will be released on November 22nd of this year. He was also a recipient of ASMAC’s Golden Score Award in 2014.
