Andreu Diport

Andreu Diport (b. 1998, Barcelona) is a composer, orchestrator, and arranger based in Los Angeles. He collaborates regularly with the Palau de la Música Catalana and Montserrat Abbey, and his work has been performed by ensembles including the Balthasar Neumann Chor, the Polski Chór Kameralny, the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, and the Orfeó Català. For the screen, he has composed and orchestrated on film projects including Sardinia (2024, dir. Paul Kowalski, EP Patton Oswalt).

Diport began his musical training at one of Europe’s oldest boys’ choirs. He studied composition at ESMUC (Barcelona) under Bernat Vivancos and Mauricio Sotelo, and completed a master’s at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He subsequently participated in the Screen Scoring program at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana and, supported by a fully-funded fellowship from the La Caixa Foundation, pursued the Screen Scoring M.A. at USC Thornton School of Music, where he studied with Peter Golub, Lolita Ritmanis, Pete Anthony, and Garry Schyman. There, he was awarded the Harry Warren Endowed Scholarship and named Joe and Alice Harnell Scholar for Screen Scoring. His music has received recognition in numerous competitions, including first prizes in the 17th International Composers’ Competition “Musica Sacra Nova” and the 5th International Choral Composition Competition of the Orfeó Català, among others.
