Bill Byers was a legendary trombonist of the post WW II era, an arranger for Frank Sinatra and Quincy Jones, and an orchestrator for television, film and musical theater (A Chorus Line, City Of Angels, The Will Rogers Follies, The Sting, The Oscars).

Join us as friends, colleagues and family members discuss Bill’s genius for orchestration and share anecdotes about working alongside this remarkable 20th Century musician. Scheduled to speak are Larry Grossman, Jonathan Tunick, Chris Boardman, Nan Schwartz, Yaron Gershovsky, Marvin Laird, Gordon Harrell, Jim Pugh, and Yuriko and Bryant Byers.

Composer-orchestrator Ned Paul Ginsburg will moderate and demonstrate collected scores from Broadway and the recording studio. A rare, inside look at a master of the orchestra!
