RESERVE NOW for the Golden Score 2017!

28 November 2017

On behalf of the Board of Directors of ASMAC, we are proud to announce that the 2017 Golden Score Awards will be held on Sunday, December 3rd at the Hilton Universal Hotel in Universal City. We are delighted to honor two highly-accomplished composer/songwriters, CHARLES FOX and PAUL WILLIAMS, who are the best of friends. We hope you will join with ASMAC to salute these two outstanding members of our community. This very special evening will also help us to raise funds for our scholarships and educational programs.

Hosting this year’s Gala will be 2015 Golden Score honoree, MICHAEL GIACCHINO, who composed the score for Disney/Pixar’s latest animated sensation, COCO, already being hailed as one of the year’s best.  Among the scheduled special guests on Sunday are two-time Grammy winner, JACK JONES, Grammy-winning vocalist, MERVYN WARREN, formerly of TAKE SIX, and song stylist and recording artist CALABRIA FOTI who will perform several of the themes and hit songs made famous by the two honorees.   And, ASMAC is also promising a surprise or two during the event!

Charlie and Paul will join an illustrious list of previous recipients including John Williams, Elmer Bernstein, Michel LeGrand, Van Alexander, Bill Holman, Sammy Nestico, Michael Giacchino, Jorge Calandrelli, John Debney, Conrad Pope, Bill Ross, Alf Clausen, the Newman family (Randy, David and Thomas), Lalo Schifrin, Jerry Goldsmith, Dave Grusin, James Newton-Howard and Henry Mancini.

For seventy-nine years, ASMAC has sought to preserve a tradition of excellence among composers, arrangers, orchestrators, and musicians. In addition to celebrating the achievements of the more mature members of our profession, we encourage younger musicians to achieve their goals through our scholarships, workshops, master classes and mentoring programs which are funded by the proceeds of this annual event.

Our gala evening will begin at 5 pm with a reception and silent auction, followed by a gourmet dinner and an exciting awards program that will include many of our honorees’ friends.

We look forward to your participation and to seeing you on December 3rd at the Golden Score Awards. For more info, to purchase tickets/sponsorships/tribute ads, please contact [email protected] or call 818-994-4661.
