Beyond writing the notes, creating and retaining personal and professional relationships is the most critical aspect for success.

ASMAC and AWFC are proud to present a prestigious panel of film industry professionals. They will share their experience and insights into relationships and touch on other important topics including:

Research, Recommendations, Reality, Responsibility, Reliability, Rejections, Reactions, Remorse, Reclusivity, Recovery, Resilience

Miriam Cutler is at three time Emmy-nominated composer and is passionate about scoring documentaries, among them Emmy-winning, Sundance, and Oscar nominated films: Love Gilda, RBG, Dark Money (which she coproduced), Ethel, Lost in La Mancha, Thin, Poster Girl, Kings Point, Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, American Promise, Vito, Desert of Forbidden Art and Licensed to Kill.


Jill D’Agnenica is a multiple award winning filmmaker and visual artist.The Los Angeles Times called Life Inside Out, Jill’s directorial debut, “a gentle, poignant drama whose heart and head are squarely in the right place.” Jill has since directed a series of PSAs for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, music and art videos, and her first episode of television on Freeform’s Switched at Birth. Her tragi-comic absurdist short, A Dog’s Story, is currently making the festival rounds. As an editor, Jill has crafted 76 hours of prime-time television on shows including How to Get Away with Murder (ABC), Lucifer (Fox), Pretty Little Liars (Freeform), Switched at Birth (Freeform), Undercovers (NBC), Hollywood Heights (Nickelode- on), and The Division (Lifetime). She is currently editing Freeform’s Party of Five reboot. Jill holds a BA in History from UCLA and an MFA in Visual Art from Cla- remont Graduate University. Jill enjoys sharing experiences with fellow filmmakers, including moderating panels for Slamdance, Phoenix Film Festival, SAG/Aftra Foundation and the DGA Women’s Steering Committee, and teaching Master Classes at the Motion Picture Editors Guild. She is a member Film Independent, Film Fatales, the Motion Picture Editors Guild and the Directors Guild of America.


Elizabeth Finch is an Orchestrator, Arranger, and Music Copyist. The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Outlander, Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, The Simpson’s Movie,The Bourne Supremacy, Shrek, Black Hawk Down, Academy Awards, and many more. Head of music preparation for Duets and countless other projects.


Fay Hauser has been a Producer/Writer/Director on over 25 reality / documentary TV shows including international projects “Paris In Search of A Dream” and the 26 episode “Red, Hot and Cool,” plus TV One’s Vision Award nominated “Living With Soul.” As director/writer, Fay has created short films, “Where There’s Smoke…” and“5150”that screened in NYC, England &  in South Africa on National TV. In front of the camera, Fay has guest starred on “Shameless,” “Glee,” “Akeelah and The Bee”, “The Hot Chick”, “Candyman II,” “ER,” “Ghost Whisperer,” “Without A Trace,”and “Good Times,”to name a few. She recurred in “Magnum PI”as T.C.s’ wife, “Roots II”as Carrie Barden, and “The Young and The Restless” as Selena Wiley, where she received an Emmy (Outstanding cast). Fay has completed a pilot for the renowned Norman Lear and guests on the Jordon Peele series, “Weird City.”  She can be heard on the Lawrence Fishburne/Larenz Tate Podcast “Bronzeville”on iTunes, Spotify and other streaming services. Fay is a member of the Women’s and African American Steering Committees of the Directors Guild of America http://www.Hauslights.com.


Starr Parodi has created scores for numerous films, television series,(The Starter Wife, Transformers: Rescue Bots, The Division, G.I. Joe: Renegades)and hundreds of iconic movie trailers(James Bond, Harry Potter, Dreamgirls…) and her solo work has been featured on NPR, KCRW and iHEART Radio. A trailblazer onstage and in the studio, Starr is the current president of the Alliance for Women Film Composers and is widely recognized as a leader in expanding the reach of women in the arts as a composer, producer, performer and cultural visionary.
