The Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra will perform two concerts, June 11 and 13, featuring oboist Johanna Lamb, with a program entitled “Music Inspired by Nature.”
The Friday concert, June 11, 7:30 will take place in New Britain, CT. The program includes: Felix Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto in D minor; Felix Mendelssohn: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, op. 61- incidental music; and Charles Fernandez: Oboe Concerto Mov I.
The Sunday, June 13 concert will take place in Hartford, CT (time and location to be announced) and will include: Charles Fernandez: Oboe Concerto Mov II & III; Paul Hindemith: Trauermusik, and S. Bach: ‘Sheep May Safely Graze’, from Cantata Nº 208.
