80 Years and Counting

17 September 2018

The American Society of Music Arrangers, originally known as ASMA, began in 1938. Eventually ASMA became known as ASMAC when the word Composers was added in the title. Throughout the years, the organization has provided a home for arrangers, composers and orchestrators, all of whom have shared, and continue to share, their knowledge with others. The continued support of a dedicated Board of Directors has helped ASMAC achieve huge accomplishments over the past 80 years. We are proud to continue our commitment to providing informative programs, competitions, scholarships, events, mentoring, along with networking opportunities, that have been so well received.

Plans are now well underway for our 80th Anniversary Celebration to be held on Sunday, November 18th, 2018. We hope to see many of you at the Skirball Center as we glance back at 80 years of this proud organization. (Information to follow.)

We are excited to unveil a brand new logo to all of you as we move into the next decade with a simple and fresh look for ASMAC. In the coming months, you will see this new image on all of our communications and hope you like it as much as we do.

Thank you to everyone for your ongoing participation and support of ASMAC.
